He completed his PhD degree in 2011 in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom. Still servicing School of Mechanical Engineering (SME), UTM as a Senior Lecturer and handling courses related to Thermodynamics field. Zulkarnain first appointment at UTM as Assistant Lecturer \u2018B\u2019 at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FME) after completion his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering in 1985. As an academician he pursues his study up to PhD level in the same field and was awarded the degree in 2011 from UTM. Areas of expertise and interest are Internal Combustion Engine, Engine Performance and Combustion Test, Energy Efficiency and Thermodynamics Related Studies. After then, he obtained his M.Sc. in Automotive Product Engineering and Ph.D in Engineering from Cranfield University, United Kingdom in 2009 and 2012, respectively. He is currently a Senior Lecturer and also a Research Fellow at Automotive Development Centre (ADC) in the School of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, UTM.
