Prof. Dr. Mukhlis A Rahman graduated with B. Eng (Chemical Engineering) and M. Eng (Gas Engineering) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). He started his academic career when he was appointed as a lecturer in 2007 in Department of Gas Engineering, Faculty of Petroleum Engineering and Renewable Engineering. At the same time, he was joining Advanced Membrane Technology Research Center to participate more on research and innovation field. Shortly after that, he was granted with a scholarship from Ministry of Higher Education to further his PhD study in Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London, focusing his scope on ceramic membrane for microreactor. He is an active member of Advanced Membrane Technology Research Center and Faculty of Petroleum Engineering and Renewable Engineering, joining various academic activities both in faculty and university level. He already gained two research grants to develop ceramic membrane for energy conversion. To enhance teaching skill in engineering subjects, he has joined Board of Engineeer Malaysia and Institute of Engineer Malaysia as graduate member, aiming to obtain professional engineering in less than 5 years.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><div class=\"et_d4_element et_pb_column_1_2 et_pb_column et_pb_column_3  et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode et-last-child et_block_column\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_pb_module et_d4_element et_pb_text et_pb_text_1  et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span>\u00a0<\/span>Dr. Mukhlis A Rahman has great passion in \u2018Research and Innovation\u2019 fields. He intends to develop ceramic hollow fibre membrane locally to be used in various applications such as gas separation, combustion, catalytic reaction, energy conversion and wastewater treatment. Due to excellent performance during Msc and Phd studies, he received already obtained 9 publications in refereed international journals with 28 CIF, 5 working papers in books, 1 paten filling.
