{"id":14128,"date":"2019-02-10T16:34:17","date_gmt":"2019-02-10T08:34:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amtec.utm.my\/?p=14128"},"modified":"2019-02-10T16:34:17","modified_gmt":"2019-02-10T08:34:17","slug":"more-research-collaboration-amtec-aistdf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/research.utm.my\/amtec\/more-research-collaboration-amtec-aistdf\/","title":{"rendered":"MORE RESEARCH COLLABORATION: AMTEC \u2013 AISTDF"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The multilateral project just got approval which had applied few months ago by Government of India (Department of Science and Technology (International Multilateral and Regional Cooperation Division).<\/p>\n<p>The Project entitled &#8220;Development of Metal-Organic Framework Nanofiber Based Photocatalytic Membranes and Reactors for Multi-polluted Water Treatment&#8221; has been approved for funding under ASEAN- India Collaborative R&amp;D scheme under ASEAN-India S&amp;T Development Fund (AISTDF).<\/p>\n<p>ASEAN-India Science &amp; Technology Collaboration formally started in 1996 with establishment of ASEAN India S&amp;T working group (AIWGST). Initially, the collaborative S&amp;T projects and activities between India and ASEAN were supported through ASEAN India Fund (AIF) but in 2008, a dedicated ASEAN India S&amp;T Development Fund (AISTDF) with an equivalent amount of 1 million US $ was established jointly by MEA and DST to support R&amp;D projects and associated project development activities. The AISTDF was enhanced to an equivalent amount of 5 Million US$ through an announcement by Hon&#8217;ble Prime Minister of India on sidelines of ASEAN-India Summit in Malaysia in November 2015. The ASEAN-India Innovation Platform is the major element of enhanced AISTDF.<\/p>\n<p>Several projects and scientific activities have been supported and implemented under ASEAN India S&amp;T program which includes-<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ASEAN-India Collaborative R&amp;D on Thermally Sprayed Ceramic-Based Coatings<\/li>\n<li>R&amp;D project on Extent of Transfer of Alien Invasive Organisms (Nuisance) in South\/SE Asia Region by Shipping<\/li>\n<li>Training Course on Analysis of Chemicals and Biological Contaminants in Raw and Processed Products for ASEAN Countries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Congratulations to Assoc Prof Dr Lau Woei Jye dan Assoc Prof Dr Juhana as team member for this project.
