Datuk Seri Dr. Ismail bin Haji Bakar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The objective of this formal framework is the initiative of the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MOE) in collaboration with UTM through AMTEC for a project to provide mobile-treated clean water systems in schools with critical problems in getting treated clean water.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This project is based on community service and if it is implemented then it will be passed to other rural schools for the well-being of the people.<\/p>\n<p>Also present at the official visit was the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, YBhg. Datuk Saiful Anuar Lebai Hussen, KPM Deputy Chief Secretary (Development), Dato 'Azizan bin Mohamad Sidin, UTM Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Datuk Ir. Dr. Wahid bin Omar, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) UTM cum Head of Project, Prof. Datuk Dr. Ahmad Fauzi bin Ismail, Director of AMTEC, Prof. Madya Dr. Mohd Hafiz Dzarfan, UTM top management member and representatives of ministries involved.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the membrane technology products, other high impact UTM products are Dynamic and Smart Web Content Filtering using eyeNOON Next Generation Firewall, Advanced Dialysis Nephorologist Application Network (ADNAN), Bivalve Mollusc Toxic Metals Removal System (MOLLUSCURE) eBraille Al-Quran and CR2-Haptic Rehabilitation Robot.<\/p>\n<p>Head of Project, Prof. Datuk Dr. Ahmad Fauzi Ismail said the creation of a clean and safe water treatment system was from previous research projects under KPM such as research sponsorships funded by KPM, Long Term Research Grant Scheme (LRGS), Prototype Development Research Grant (PRGS) , The Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS) and the NBOS4 program since 2010 to date.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Impact of these research grants, AMTEC has successfully developed a highly mobile, treated water treatment system with very low operating costs and is practical for the use of natural disaster victims, drought-induced areas, disrupted water supply and industry which recycles water produced from manufacturing and manufacturing processes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>This system is able to treat water from sources such as river water, groundwater and flood water.\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 16px\">It is also equipped with seven filtration stages, pre-filtration, micron filtration, ultra-thin membrane, reverse osmosis membrane, post-filtering and reconditioning to ensure the water is safe and clean and according to standard drinking water standards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The design and specification of the system has been developed by UTM's researcher according to the suitability of water quality and anti-corrosion material.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the issue of clean water supply in schools is one of the most critical issues especially in the interior of Sarawak, Sabah and Kelantan.<\/p>\n<p>Hence it needs to be addressed clearly and promptly to provide convenience, comfort and improve the health of students and teachers in schools.<\/p>\n<p>According to Prof. Madya Dr. Mohd Hafiz Dzarfan, until now the AMTEC has produced 10 membrane Technology based mobile drinking water treatment systems built and self-supervised by UTM staff.<\/p>\n<p>The system is capable of producing 1000 liters per day for cleaned drinking water and 3000 liters per day for daily use.<\/p>\n<p>The system has also been designed specifically for easy operation and does not use high energy and is equipped with generators to operate if the area does not have any supply or cut off electricity.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, this system can also be operated technically with the minimum rate to provide convenience for the school to be operated in person later.<\/p>\n<p>Datuk Seri Dr. Ismail bin Haji Bakar said through the implementation of this program, research technology at the university would be used to improve social values \u200b\u200band to be a model in solving the problem of clean water supply to remote schools in the face of long-term clean water supply problems.<\/p>\n<p>The transfer of knowledge from local researchers to the community through this transnational research is also useful for the generation of high innovation generation in the future<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div><div class=\"et_d4_element et_pb_row et_pb_row_1  et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode et_block_row\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_d4_element et_pb_column_4_4 et_pb_column et_pb_column_1  et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode et-last-child et_block_column\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_pb_module et_d4_element et_pb_image et_pb_image_0\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"et_pb_image_wrap \"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1008\" height=\"490\" src=\"https:\/\/research.utm.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2019\/04\/ksn-sign.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/research.utm.my\/amtec\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2019\/04\/ksn-sign.jpg 1008w, https:\/\/research.utm.my\/amtec\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2019\/04\/ksn-sign-320x156.jpg 320w, https:\/\/research.utm.my\/amtec\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/25\/2019\/04\/ksn-sign-768x373.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1008px) 100vw, 1008px\" class=\"wp-image-14967\" \/><\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/div><div class=\"et_pb_module et_d4_element et_pb_text et_pb_text_1  et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p>YBhg.
