Kuala Lumpur – The Seri Pacific Hotel in Kuala Lumpur set the stage for a significant gathering from 11 to 13 September 2022, where the SEELOS project members convened to actively review the progress, findings, and challenges of a substantial project aimed at enhancing the safety and sustainability of decommissioning activities and recycling facilities. The event was pivotal in updating existing guidelines to reflect the latest standards and plan strategic activities for the coming year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event kicked off with a comprehensive project overview presented by the project leader. The presentation shed light on the project’s vision, mission, and its significance in the realm of decommissioning and recycling safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each Work Package’s perform a comprehensive reviews of the project’s progress, findings, and financial allocations. Participants collaboratively updated the existing report and guidelines to ensure they aligned with the latest best practices for safe and sustainable decommissioning activities and improved safety within recycling facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attendees discussed the project’s plan activities throughout 2022\/2023 allowing them to gain insights into the project’s trajectory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discussion on the final report and guidelines ensured the comprehensive inclusion of valuable insights and recommendations. Future activities, including data collection, fieldwork, seminars, workshops, and conference participation, were confirmed, emphasizing an active approach towards achieving project goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event concluded on a high note, celebrating the successful finalization of the draft report and guidelines. The way forward for the project’s final stage was charted, highlighting the practical implementation of the project’s findings and recommendations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
