IJN-UTM CEC<\/span><\/h2>\n

IJN-UTM Cardiovascular Engineering Centre or known as IJN-UTM Cardio Centre is one of the UTM Centre of Excellence (CoE), under the management of Institute of Human Centered Engineering (iHumEn). It was established in 2013 with a collaboration between National Heart Institute (Institut Jantung Negara \u2013 IJN) and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM)<\/span><\/p>\n

Visit to Medical Device Authority (MDA)<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

IJN-UTM CEC has visited MDA for benchmarking on the route of medical device certifications. The comprehensive discussion is purposely intended to guide the research flow while planning for commercialisation certifications. IJN-UTM CEC and MDA has agreed to organise a workshop on ISO14155 in December to give overview on the mandatory certifications required for different types of medical devices while highlighting on good clinical practice (GCP) certification of medical devices.<\/p>\n

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Syafiqah and UTM delegation have also visited Universitas Indonesia (UI), specifically to Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA)\u00a0 and Integrated Laboratory Research Centre (ILRC) for potential collaboration. Another visit was done to Badan Riset & Inovasi Nasional (BRIN), Research Centre of Polymer Technology which located at Serpong. The delegation has been welcomed by Dr. Jody, the Head of the Research Centre, followed by a deep discussion on the possibility of mobility and grant acquirement. The visit was end with a tour on advanced research facilities.<\/p>\n
