Our History<\/span><\/h2>\n

IJN-UTM Cardiovascular Engineering Centre was officially established on 11 October 2013 with a collaboration between National Heart Institute (Institut Jantung Negara – IJN) and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). It was launched by Y.A.B. Tan Sri Dato\u2019 Muhyiddin bin Hj. Mohd. Yassin with the vision \u2018To be recognised as a world class centre of excellence in the area of cardiovascular science and engineering\u2019. The establishment of the Centre was initiated through a meeting with the Cardiovascular Engineering Centre at RWTH Aachen<\/p>\n

University, Germany on June 2012 to roadmap the research, facility and human capital development. The delegation from UTM included Dato’ Seri Prof. Ir. Dr. Zaini Ujang, Prof. Dr. Jasmy Yunus and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Eko Supriyanto which forward the roadmap planning into MoU between both universities\u00a0 in November 2012. In UTM, IJN-UTM Cardiovascular Engineering Centre is mostly known as IJN-UTM Cardio Centre and IJN-UTM CEC which operated at Level 2, Building V01, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.<\/p>\n
