Ltd. and Green Tenaga—to foster partnerships and explore potential research collaborations in the field of energy, with a specific focus on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The visit included seven academic staff members, comprising CEES research fellows and staff from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering (FKE): Assoc. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Dalila Mat Said, Assoc. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Jasrul Jamani Jamian, Ts. Dr. Zulkarnain Ahmad Noorden, Dr. Madihah Md Rasid, Dr. Siti Maherah Hussin, Dr. Noor Syazwani Mansor, and Ts. Dr. Nurul Nadia Ibrahim.

The morning session took place at Delta Electronics Inti (Singapore) Pte Ltd, followed by an afternoon visit to Green Tenaga. During both sessions, each company’s representatives presented their product portfolios, showcasing innovations in battery energy storage and smart energy systems. This was followed by a technical presentation from Assoc. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Jasrul Jamani Jamian, representing UTM, who outlined past collaborations and potential areas for future joint research. Each visit concluded with a guided showroom tour, providing firsthand exposure to real-world implementations of advanced energy technologies.

Delta Electronics is a global leader in power and thermal management solutions. Known for its expertise in energy-efficient power electronics, industrial automation, and renewable energy, Delta plays a key role in developing sustainable energy technologies in Singapore, particularly in BESS, Electric Vehicle (EV) charging, and smart energy infrastructure.

Green Tenaga specializes in integrated green energy solutions, having made significant progress in grid modernization, solar photovoltaics (PV) systems, and digital energy platforms. Its innovation-driven approach supports global energy transition goals.

“We are impressed with the advanced solutions demonstrated by both Delta Electronics and Green Tenaga. These visits have sparked promising opportunities for collaboration, especially in research translation and commercialization. We look forward to co-developing innovative solutions that benefit both industry and academia,” said Assoc. Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Jasrul Jamani Jamian.

These engagements present numerous benefits to UTM researchers and students, including access to real-world data, pilot project collaborations, industrial supervision for student research, and opportunities for technology transfer. Such collaborations strengthen UTM’s ability to deliver market-relevant research and contribute meaningfully to Malaysia’s energy transition.

As a follow-up to the visit, CEES and IFE plan to initiate collaborative research proposals and organize joint workshops with both companies. Key focus areas include hybrid energy storage modeling, grid-interactive BESS design, and AI-driven energy management systems.

The industrial visit reflects UTM’s strategic commitment to strengthening academia-industry collaboration and advancing impactful research in sustainable energy technologies.

Prepared By: Siti Maherah Hussin, Noor Syazwani Mansor

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

SINGAPORE, May 9 – The Centre of Electrical Energy Systems (CEES), Institute of Future Energy (IFE), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) organized an industrial visit to two prominent companies in Singapore—Delta Electronics Inti (Singapore) Pte.
