Centre of Lipids Engineering and Applied Research (CLEAR), shaped by the past as a leading centre for engineering and technology of palm oil and oleo-chemical processing, is rapidly growing its roles into an interdisciplinary hub across green extraction technologies and advanced separation processes that will cater the needs of society and various industries. Driven by five key research fellows of specialized backgrounds, CLEAR aims to capitalize the research outcomes towards the health of well-being, economic and sustainable environment, that is in-line with institution\u2019s aspiration to be among the leading research-intensive university by 2020.<\/p>

CLEAR is embarking on strategic collaboration and research activities with universities and industrial partners. Our experts are actively involved as consultant in providing solutions to issues related to supercritical fluid extraction, wastewater treatment and biomass utilization.<\/p>

CLEAR holds the licensed know-how on health supplement capsules of Orthosiphon Stamineus and Switenia Mahogany. Also, it establishes commercialized products ranging from An Nur skincare to Naturel Kiss cosmeceutical via its institutional spin-off company, SHE Empire.<\/p>

CLEAR embraces academic activities in realizing its role as centre of excellence. All members contribute in securing research funds from various sources, which are translated into supervision, conferences, publications and intellectual properties. Currently, we are fueled by 25 postgraduates and two post-doctorates. At CLEAR, we also engage in regular trainings and short courses on supercritical fluid extraction, and response surface methodology. Other related trainings are also available upon request. We also offer laboratory equipment and services at reasonable fee.<\/p>
