Dr. Srimala Sreekantan <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Director at Centre for Innovation &amp; Consultation, Universiti Sains Malaysia<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Prof. Ir. Dr. Srimala Sreekantan is a lecturer and scientist specialising in Nanostructured Materials and Advanced Materials for pollution management (environment), energy and biomedical field. She has spent almost 10 years studying, developing, optimizing, and simplifying the technology that lies in the synthesis of various oxides in zero, one, two, and three dimensional forms, which are of high importance for biomedical, bioenvironmental, and green energy applications. She presented more than 130 research papers I n conferences and had published over 100 papers in ISI international journals. She also contributes her expertise and knowledge by reviewing international publications. In\u00a0 recognition of her dedication and enthusiasm towards research, she was awarded the L&#8217;Oreal Award in November 2007. Additionally, her unique and innovative inventions have received gold awards at national and international events such as MTE and ITEX in Malaysia, BIS in the United Kingdom, Geneva in Switzerland, KIWIE in Korea, and iENA in Nuremberg. Her research product, Nano- TiO<sub>2<\/sub> photocatalyst, was commercialized under the trade name Cleancoat.
