As one of the founding members of the Malaysia Quantum Information Initiative (MyQI), he advises government ministries and agencies, delivering on average two talks every month across academic institutions, government bodies, and conferences on Quantum Technology throughout Malaysia and Asia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Since 2024, Yap has engaged with key Malaysian entities, including the Ministry of Digital, the Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation, and multiple national bodies with respect to quantum science and technology, such as the establishment of Malaysia Quantum Valley in the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ). He is also one of the key figures in organizing the ASEAN Quantum Summit 2025, spreading awareness of quantum in the region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Yap\u2019s work has been instrumental in raising national awareness of quantum technologies and building connections between research, policy, and industry.
