ChM. Dr. Nik Ahmad Nizam Nik Malek meraih 1 pingat emas dan 1 pingat perak dalam Persidangan dan Ekspo Ciptaan Institusi Pengajian Tinggi Antarabangsa (PECIPTA\u201922) anjuran Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi Malaysia dengan kerjasama Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), selaku tuan rumah bagi tahun ini. PECIPTA\u201922 telah berlangsung selama 3 hari, bermula 1 hingga 3 November 2022, bertempat di Dewan Canselor, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK), Bachok, Kelantan.<\/p>\n<p>Pingat emas tersebut berjaya diperolehi menerusi produk inovasi bertajuk \u201cSilvern: Kesum-silver nanoparticles as antibacterial wound healing agent\u201d yang merupakan krim nanopartikel perak (AgNP), di mana AgNP telah disediakan melalui kaedah biosintesis hijau menggunakan ekstrak daun kesum. Silvern juga terbukti berkesan dalam membunuh bakteria dan menghalang pertumbuhan bakteria. Silvern selamat digunakan untuk kulit manusia dan boleh digunakan sebagai penyembuh luka berdasarkan ujian sel in vitro dan ujian haiwan in vivo.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/news.utm.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/78\/2022\/11\/pecipta-03-551x310.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"551\" height=\"310\" \/><\/p><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Silvern: Kesum-silver nanoparticles as antibacterial wound healing agent dan Dual-Antibax, hasil ciptaan Prof. Madya Ts. ChM. Dr. Nik Ahmad Nizam.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Manakala, pingat perak pula menerusi produk inovasi bertajuk \u201cDual-Antibax Cream\u201d yang merupakan krim topikal mengandungi 2 agen antibakteria bukan organik dan organik yang boleh membunuh bakteria patogen pada kulit serta meningkatkan kesihatan kulit. Bahan-bahan utamanya ialah kaolinit sebagai bahan utama dan ion perak dan<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide<\/em><span>\u00a0<\/span>(CTAB) sebagai bahan aktifnya. Dual-Antibax Cream juga dihasilkan dengan gabungan minyak zaitun, biji koko, aloe vera dan bahan-bahan lain.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_704800\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-704800\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-704800 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/news.utm.my\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/78\/2022\/11\/pecipta-02-551x310.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"551\" height=\"310\" \/><\/p><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-704800\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Produk Dual-Antibax Cream [1] dan Silvern [2] yang telah dipamerkan di PECIPTA\u201922 baru-baru ini.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span>Sementara itu, PECIPTA\u201922 yang bertemakan \u201cTingkatkan Inovasi, Kreativiti, Teknologi, Keusahawanan dan Masyarakat<\/span><em>\u201d<\/em><span>\u00a0merupakan acara dwitahunan sejak tahun 2001 lagi, telah menjadi platform kepada para penyelidik tempatan untuk mempersembahkan projek-projek inovasi yang dibangunkan.
