RAMLAN AZIZ is currently the Director of Institute of Bioproduct Development(formerly<br \/>\nknown as Chemical Engineering Pilot Plant), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Johor Bahru, Johor a R + D<br \/>\ncentre that deals in the development of processes and products for fine specialty chemical and<br \/>\nbiochemical industry. He graduated with BSc. and MSc. in Chemical Engineering from University of<br \/>\nManchester Institute of Science and Technology. Since 1988, he has been deeply involved in R + D,<br \/>\nconsultancy and industry training activities. So far, staff from 200 companies have benefited from his<br \/>\ncourses.
