IJN-UTM Cardiovascular Engineering Centre (IJN-UTM CEC) was established in 2013 with a collaboration between Institut Jantung Negara (National Heart Institute) and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. It was launched by Y.A.B. Tan Sri Dato\u2019 Muhyiddin Hj. Mohd. Yassin with the vision \u2018To be recognized as a world class centre of excellence in the area of cardiovascular engineering\u2019. This center emerges with sustainable innovation and solution for cardiovascular patient care including the development of vascular patch, rehabilitation apps, AI management system, implant technology, telerobotic, and telecardiology.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aspires to create an environment that contributes toward talent development, industrial promotion, knowledge-sharing, and international collaboration, MaGICX\u2019s credits include projects related to augmented reality, mixed and virtual environment, image processing, computer vision, multimedia software engineering, medical computing, computer interaction, human interface, usability, animation and technology, speech and signal processing, visualization, multimedia and software innovation, and emerging technology.

Medical Devices and Technology Centre (MEDiTEC) is officially establish as a Research Center in UTM on 12 February 2019. With the increasing demand in medical devices and technology, UTM entrusted MEDiTEC to lead in research and development as well as producing local medical devices product in fulfilling the government key focus in health care. The area of interests include orthopedic implant technology, medical informatics, bio-instrumentation, and dental implant. Thus, the Center aimed to be champion in research, development and commercialization of medical implants and their related technologies.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
