The signing of memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and EPI Sdn. Bhd has been established on 29th August 2022. The idea of enabling this MOU initially was proposed by the IJN\u00adUTM Cardiovascular Engineering Centre (IJN\u00adUTM CEC), Centre of Excellence (CoE) in UTM, under the management of the Institute of Human Centered Engineering (iHumEn).<\/span><\/p>\n

The MOU was signed by the Deputy Vice Chancellor of UTM (Research & Innovation), Prof. Dr. Md. lllias and the Academic Director of EPI, Prof. Ts. Dr. Jasmy Yunus. The signing was witnessed by Prof. Dr. Mohd Shahrizal Sunar as the Director of iHumEn and Dr. Annathurai Ranganathan as the Strategic & Compliance Director of EPI. The MOU content encompasses research and academic training in biomedical engineering and healthcare areas.<\/p>\n

It was initiated through the discussion between Dr. Syafiqah Saidin, the Director of IJN-UTM CEC and Mr. Heman Babu, the Business Development Manager of EPI. The ceremony was attended by five representatives from EPI, five members of the MOU and few representatives from iHumEn, SKBSK and TNCPI department.<\/p>\n

This half-day MOU ceremony successfully expressed agreement to be proceed. Following the signing of this MOU, Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) will be drafted to specifically highlight the consultation and certified training activities that will be carried out in 2022 and 2023. Through this MOU it could enhance the visibility of UTM, while improving and leveraging research ideas, state-of-the-art innovation, technological advancement, and capital development to a greater high, locally and globally.<\/p>\n
