UTM Islamic Centre, in collaboration with the Sports Innovation and Technology Centre (SITC) and Institute of Human Centered Engineering (iHumEn), successfully organized the fencing courses of 24 sessions on 26th July 2023, representing a commendable initiative aimed at providing exposure to the intricate world of sword sports.<\/span>The primary objective of this program is to impart fundamental fencing skills and knowledge, particularly tailored for the Cadet Team (Under 12). The collaborative efforts between the UTM Islamic Centre and SITC showcase a synergistic approach to promoting sports and recreation within the university community. With a specific focus on engaging the children of UTM staff members, this fencing initiative serves as a platform for skill development. It fosters a sense of community and well-being.<\/span><\/p>\n The program has enrolled 50 children, demonstrating its popularity and positive response from the UTM community. Such initiatives are crucial in promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among the younger generation.
