3:30 pm<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Venue:&nbsp;<strong>DK 6, P19 UTM Skudai&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Speaker biography:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof. Dr. Satoshi Matsumoto received his M.Eng and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Tokyo in 1981 and 1984, respectively.&nbsp;He has almost 20 years of industrial\/practical experience involving in the high voltage engineering group of Toshiba Corporation since 1984 until 2003.&nbsp;Prior joining Shibaura Institute of Technology in 2008 as a Professor, he was appointed as a visiting Professor at Kyushu Institute of Technology between 2003 and 2007.&nbsp;His professional field is high voltage engineering up to 1000kV, high voltage testing, partial discharge measurement, signal processing, electric field analysis, supercapacitor and material engineering.&nbsp;He was the Vice President of Power and Energy Society of the Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan (IEEJ) from 2011 to 2013 and presently, as a Senior Member of IEEE and IEEJ.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Institute of High Voltage and High Current (IVAT) organised a&nbsp;lecture&nbsp;by&nbsp;Prof. Dr. Satoshi Matsumoto&nbsp;from&nbsp;Shibaura Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan.&nbsp;
