JOHOR BAHRU, Feb 21 – The International Student Society (ISS) – Pakistan successfully hosted a workshop titled “Crafting Scientific Visuals with AI: A Hands-on Workshop” at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Led by Muhammad Haris, a postgraduate student from the Faculty of Computing, the workshop aimed to equip participants with innovative techniques for creating impactful visuals using artificial intelligence (AI) tools.

Held in Block P19, Hall 4, the event attracted postgraduate students and researchers from various faculties eager to enhance their skills in scientific visualization. The workshop addressed the growing need for high-quality visuals in research presentations and academic writing, providing participants with a unique opportunity to learn advanced techniques in a hands-on environment.

The session featured interactive demonstrations and practical exercises that allowed attendees to experiment with cutting-edge AI tools. Haris shared his expertise on how AI can simplify the creation of complex scientific visuals, making the process accessible for researchers across different disciplines.

Dr. Muhammad Asim, a participant from the Faculty of Science, commented on the workshop: “It was incredibly practical and inspiring. I now feel more confident in presenting my research with impactful visuals that communicate effectively.”

Muhammad Shahid, a PhD student from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Energy Engineering (FKT) and Vice President of ISS-Pakistan, shared his thoughts: “This workshop was a valuable experience for researchers like me who want to improve how we communicate our findings. The techniques taught will undoubtedly enhance the quality of my academic presentations and publications.”

In addition to technical learning, the event promoted collaboration and networking among attendees. Usman Niaz, President of ISS-Pakistan, emphasized the importance of such initiatives: “This workshop aligns perfectly with UTM’s vision of promoting innovation and excellence in education and research. We are proud to provide a platform for students and researchers to enhance their skills and contribute meaningfully to academic advancements.”
