Post Doctoral Scientist at UTM OTEC<\/strong><\/p>\n Ocean Thermal Energy Centre (OTEC) at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia is seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual with a keen interest in marine science research to apply as a Post Doctoral Scientist to be based in our Centre starting \u00a01st JUNE 2016<\/strong>.<\/p>\n We require candidate with PHD or equivalent in marine microbiology, marine ecology, marine technology, biotechnology, agriculture and, aquaculture. The applicant must be well verse in Department of Environmental (DOE) – Environment Impact Assessment (EIA)\u2019s report requirement. Oceanographic studies including \u00a0 Physical, Chemical and Biological studies as well as \u00a0Marine Microbiology knowledge is an added advantage. Applicants are expected to publish at least two ISI-based publications during the tenure. Applicants will also be responsible to apply for research grants and take initiatives to develop future research that represents OTEC\u2019s mission and vision.<\/p>\n Furthermore, candidates are expected to have excellent verbal and writing skills in English. Pleasant personality, with eagerness to learn and ability to work in group or independently is highly sought.
