The iSEReNE Research Book Workshop is a significant event on September 17th and 18th, 2023, at the Ibnu Sina Meeting Room, ISI-SIR. Institute of Human Centered Engineering (iHumEn) and the Ibnu Sina Institute for Scientific and Industrial Research (ISI-SIR) jointly organized this workshop. It aims to spearhead collective efforts to produce research books. Assoc. Prof. Ts. ChM. Dr. Nik Ahmad Nizam Nik Malek, Director of ISI-SIR, officiated the workshop. The workshop is essential as it brings together researchers from iHumEn and ISI-SIR, providing them with a specialized platform for advancing their research outcomes into comprehensive and impactful research books. The primary objective of this workshop is to guide participants in transforming their research findings, insights, and scholarly work into comprehensive publications that resonate and contribute significantly to the academic and industrial realms.
The workshop began with an opening briefing by Associate Professor Ts. Chm. Dr. Nik Ahmad Nizam Nik Malek provided an overview of the workshop’s objectives. Prof. Dr. Rosli Hussin, UTM Press Publisher, then shared his expertise on transforming theses into research books. The second session was a briefing on manuscript preparation by Ts Mazlan Said from UTM Press Publisher. Throughout the workshop, the emphasis was on hands-on application of the concepts. The day culminated with participants presenting their manuscript progress and receiving peer feedback through constructive discussions. This comprehensive workshop equips researchers with the skills, knowledge, and practical insights to transform their research into impactful publications. It is crucial in elevating academic contributions and advancing scholarly discourse in their respective fields of expertise.
