The Problem
The total solution for the three-dimensional (3D) mapping of geospatial data for various applications requires the use of more than one imaging sensor. The imaging sensors involve digital RGB camera, hyperspectral camera, thermal camera and laser scanner. For the accurate geometry correction of the data (collected from all imaging sensors), each imaging sensor need to be synchronized with the avionic system which include the integration of Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver and Inertial Navigation System (INS) devices. Current research has been carried out throughout the world and the findings shows that only two imaging sensors can be synchronized with the avionic system.
The solution
UTM-CIAM helped IR Technic to develop a synchronization algorithm based on advanced mathematical and statistical methods to solve the problem with multi-sensors imaging system.
