In conjuction with the World Arduino Day on 28th March 2015, Media and Game Inovation Centre of Excellence (MaGIC-X) in smart partnership with UTM Technology Entrepreneur Centre (UTM TEC), UTM Centre for Student Innovation (UTM CSI) and Startup Johor organised WhatdeHack.
WhatdeHack is a multidisciplinary Hackathon that focuses on the Internet-of-Things and gamification which relates to the current or future media technology such as sensors, mobile apps, games, networking, cloud technology and robotics.
WhatdeHack starts in the new and vibrant economic region of Iskandar Malaysia. It is designed to encourage the culture of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the region. The move is based on the shift in the economic landscape to digitally inter-connected based economy where currently 90 percent of the world’s land surface is covered by some sort of wireless connection. On the other hand, cheap and open microprocessors and hardware further changed the landscape of builds that ignite the international maker movements. WhatdeHack sense the significance of these growths, thus provides the space for the new inventors to rediscover, play and share.
Whatdehack promotes enhancement of innovative ideas for lifestyle, healthcare and sport.
The 28th March, WhatdeHack UTM 2015 is a start to the 3 in a series program of WhatdeHack UTM, WhatdeHack Malaysia, and WhatdeHack International 2015. Here, participants are introduced to plan, build, test and launch strategy, which ultimately will create products for the empowered consumers, or prosumers.
See you in WhatdeHack Malaysia in July 2015.
