The short course titled “Large Language Model (LLM) Essentials: Crafting Generative AI Applications” was held successfully on 12th March 2025, conducted online via Webex from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The session was led by Dr. Adham Isa, a Fellow at UTM Big Data Centre (BDC).
The title “Large Language Model (LLM) Essentials: Crafting Generative AI Applications” refers to a course that focuses on the fundamental knowledge and practical skills needed to work with Large Language Models (LLMs)—a type of artificial intelligence designed to understand and generate human-like language. The term “Essentials” indicates that the course covers the core concepts, tools, and techniques necessary to get started with LLMs. The phrase “Crafting Generative AI Applications” highlights the hands-on aspect, where participants learn how to build real-world applications that leverage the power of generative AI, such as chatbots, content generators, or language-based automation tools. Overall, the course is designed to equip learners with both the theoretical foundation and the practical experience to begin developing with LLM technologies.
Sincere appreciation goes to all instructors and participants for their contributions and active engagement in making this course a success.
