SOUTH EAST ASIA’S FIRST – EST. 2014

Column Fire Testing Laboratory

The only laboratory in Malaysia offering column fire resistance testing — serving academic, industrial, and consulting projects since 2014.

About the lab

Furnace Laboratory (CFTL)

Officially launched on 22 April 2014 by Deputy Minister MOSTI Datuk Dr. Abu Bakar bin Mohamad Diah, the Column Fire Testing Laboratory (CFTL) is the only facility in Malaysia capable of testing columns under high-heat conditions.

We offer column fire testing for academic, industrial, and consulting projects — providing reliable, standards-compliant results for fire resistance research and certification.

What the lab is capable of

Equipped with a hydraulic jack, six-burner furnace, and computer-controlled data acquisition — the CFTL is purpose-built for high-load, high-heat column fire resistance testing.
