Kluang, December 27, 2023 – Three members of the Summer School Programme committee, Dr. Mahani Stapa (coordinator), ‘Atiqah Shaharuddin (assistant coordinator), and Abid Zulfadli Razali from the Language Academy, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), conducted reconnaissance visits to the UK Farm Agro Resort and Zenxin Organic Park in Kluang, Johor as part of the preparations for the upcoming Summer School Programme. The programme is scheduled to run from February 22, 2024, to March 5, 2024.

As part of the Summer School programme, 46 students from Shibaura Institute of Technology, Japan, will visit agricultural areas in Johor for a day on February 24, 2024. This educational visit aims to showcase agriculture as one of Johor’s sources of income. Students will be able to explore famous eco gardens and farms, interact with farm animals, pick fruits, and learn about sustainable agriculture.

The reconnaissance visits aimed to have in-person meetings with the responsible personnel and discuss any potential issues that may arise during the students’ visits. Additionally, the committee gathered information on packages or special tours designed for university students. The committee also inquired about the admission fees for both students and staff and requested a detailed itinerary for the day, outlining the planned activities and tour schedule.
