Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) melalui Pusat Pengurusan Makmal Universiti (PPMU) Kuala Lumpur meraih dua Anugerah Emas dan satu Anugerah Perak di Seminar Inovasi Makmal Peringkat Kebangsaan (NaLIS) 2026. Pencapaian ini dicapai menerusi penyertaan tiga kertas kerja inovasi yang membentangkan inovasi pengurusan makmal UTM di peringkat kebangsaan. Kejayaan ini membuktikan komitmen UTM dalam memperkasa budaya inovasi dan kecemerlangan pengurusan makmal.

UTM mencatat impak RM8.6 juta melalui ekosistem RDICE-ICCubeX. Model Inkubasi Berstruktur ICCubeX yang diasaskan oleh Prof. Madya Ts. Dr. Noor Azurati Ahmad menggabungkan Program Mentor, elemen Simbiosis Pelajar dan Kolaborasi Industri. Model ini berjaya menamatkan isu inovasi terperam di makmal dan meletakkan UTM sebagai penanda aras ekosistem universiti terbaik di Malaysia.

Jawatankuasa Hijau Pejabat Timbalan Naib Canselor (Penyelidikan & Inovasi) Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) Kuala Lumpur telah melaksanakan Fasa 1 Program Tanggungjawab Sosial Universiti (USR) di Rumah Kebajikan OKU Ahsana. Program ini melibatkan kempen bantuan bahan asas dan makanan yang berjaya mengumpulkan sumbangan bernilai RM1,500. Sumbangan ini akan membantu meringankan beban pengurusan dan memenuhi keperluan harian penghuni rumah kebajikan.

UTM Researchers Win Best Paper ACM SIGAI Award at IEA/AIE 2026

UTM researchers won the Best Paper ACM SIGAI Award at the IEA/AIE 2026 conference for their paper on a hybrid AI model that improves rainfall prediction in flood forecasting systems. The model, called GAN-BLS, integrates Wasserstein Generative Adversarial Network with Broad Learning System to recover missing rainfall data and update predictions rapidly. This research has strong practical relevance for Malaysia, where flood events are a recurring natural hazard, and can help strengthen early warning capabilities across vulnerable river basins.

UTM Lecturer Advances AI Governance and Human Rights Discourse at United Nations Workshop in Geneva

The workshop explored the intersection of law, technology, and governance, and Dr. Ishak’s presentation examined the ownership of inventions created by AI. The experience is expected to strengthen UTM’s commitment to advancing research and global engagement on AI, human rights, and intellectual property.
