JOHOR BAHRU, 27 Aug. – Super Micro Computer Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (SMCMA) and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch a digitalization program to govern digital transformation among UTM students. Under the MoU, SMCMA will provide a digitalization program to strengthen, promote, and develop research, technical cooperation, continuing education, and community services. The collaboration of SMCMA and UTM can accelerate the digital transformation process in improving the industrial sector functions, including finance, e-commerce, health, education, and others.
Among the collaborations proposed through this MoU include the career development of UTM students and graduates, and research collaboration especially in the field of digital and artificial intelligence (AI) and internet of things (IoT) which can provide the best opportunity for UTM to develop the best technology digitization in the country. This collaboration between SMCMA and UTM will involve UTM students in student exchange programs, internships, final-year project case studies, industry visits, career talks, premium job placements, Synergy, and Collaboration/Fellowship Double Tax Deduction (DTD) Contract research, project consultancy, joint supervision of postgraduate students, joint writing and publishing, organization of conferences, seminars, and webinars, organization of Talent Competency Management (TCM) courses, organization of professional certificates for upskilling and reskilling program. Not to be left out, SMCMA also welcomes staff exchanges in the enrichment of real-time industry teaching experience and innovation in new academia.
