UTM and Universitas Brawijaya Forge Stronger Bonds in Research and Education with New MoU

JOHOR BAHRU, 22 July 2024: Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Universitas Brawijaya (UB) in Malang, Indonesia, are strengthening their partnership to encourage research collaboration and student exchange. Dr. Nik Ahmad Nizam, Associate Professor and Vice Dean of Research at UTM’s Faculty of Science, has a successful history of collaborating with UB’s medical faculty. Their current focus is on developing nanotechnology for medical applications, indicating potential for expanded research partnerships. A recent visit by Viky Vidayanti, a technical editor from UB’s Biology Department, has further catalyzed collaboration. Professor Fahrul Huyop, from UTM’s Faculty of Science, is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Tropical Life Science (JTLS) (eISSN 2527-4376) at UB. This collaboration aims to help young researchers from both universities publish high-quality research articles, ultimately boosting the journal’s citation impact.
