UTM ICC and MRANTI organized Supercharger Johor Programme

JOHOR BAHRU, Aug 21– The Innovation and Commercialization Centre (ICC) of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) with the collaboration with Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology & Innovation (MRANTI) has organized the Supercharger Johor Programme.

The event was held at Raja Zarith Sofiah Library (PRZS), UTM Johor Bahru and were attended by several key figures namely Head of Innovation Commercialization Ecosystem Division of MRANTI, Ts. Dr. Afnizanfaizal Abdullah and Chair Research Alliance (Smart Digital Community), Prof. Ts. Dr. Kamalrulnizam Abu Bakar.

UTM ICC Director, Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Noor Azurati Ahmad@Salleh in her welcoming speech said that this event marks not just a milestone in the ongoing journey of innovation between two agencies but a bold step forward in shaping the future of technology and entrepreneurship in Malaysia.

“For your information, this is the second time we have collaborated together to establish this kind of event.

“It is a day where we recognise the creativity, hard work, and dedication of individuals and teams who are pushing the boundaries of what is possible,” said Dr. Noor Azurati.

The MRANTI Supercharger Programme is an initiative that embodies the commitment to nurturing and accelerating the growth of the nation’s innovation.

The Supercharger Event 2024, there were talks by speakers from Sustainability and AV areas. Besides that, the Boot Camp organized by MRANTI will gather innovators in an intensive program designed to provide participants with the skills, knowledge, and resources necessary to scale their ventures and bring their innovative ideas to market.

“The participants of today’s events should grab this opportunity with both hands. Use this platform to experiment, to learn, and to grow. Surround yourselves with mentors, collaborators and supporters who will challenge you to push beyond your limits.

“Remember, the journey of innovation is not a solo one instead, it is a collective effort that thrives on collaboration and shared vision,” said Dr. Azurati.

Also attending the ceremony were Chair of Innovative Engineering Research Alliances, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Farid Muhamad Said; Director of UTM Campus Sustainability (UTMCS), Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohd Fadhil Md Din; and Manager, UTM Technovation Park, Assoc Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Razin Zainal Abidin.
