The course introduced participants to the fundamentals of hydrogen, including its properties, production methods, and safety protocols. These foundational insights highlighted hydrogen’s critical role in Malaysia’s National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR). A key focus was TNB’s Hydrogen for Power Flagship project, developed in collaboration with Petronas, which aims to decarbonize power plants using green hydrogen and ammonia co-firing technologies.

Building on this foundation, the program provided practical knowledge on hydrogen’s applications, from its use in energy generation and industrial processes to its integration into cleaner transportation systems. Each session included advanced discussions on hydrogen fuel cells, storage solutions, and transportation technologies. The highlight for many participants was the hands-on demonstration of an green electrolyzer and fuel cell system, offering practical exposure to these cutting-edge innovations.
