Our Biorefinery Laboratory is a state-of-the-art facility that focuses on research in food science and technology. The laboratory consists of various specialized areas, such as a drying room, cold room, packaging room, and sample preparation room, allowing us to conduct advanced research in the areas of food shelf life, food additives, nutrient preservation, and nutrient enhancement

The laboratory’s focus on these areas is critical for developing new methods for preserving food quality and safety, and improving the nutritional content of food products. By studying the effects of different drying methods on food quality and shelf life, the laboratory is able to develop new and innovative food products that meet the changing needs of consumers.

ADVANCED DRYING LAB

Our Drying Laboratory  is a state-of-the-art facility that focuses on research in food science and technology. Drying is used in the food industry to preserve and create specific characteristics in foods. Common methods include freeze-drying, spray drying, and microwave drying.  This laboratory’s focus on these areas is critical for developing new methods for preserving food quality and safety, and improving the nutritional content of food products. By studying the effects of different drying methods on food quality and shelf life, the laboratory is able to develop new and innovative food products that meet the changing needs of consume

 

EQUIPMENT HIGHLIGHT

Freeze Dryer

Our key equipment in this laboratory is the Freeze Dryer. Freeze-drying is often preferred over other drying methods because it can preserve the structure, texture, and chemical composition of the substance, which can be important for maintaining its functionality and effectiveness. Additionally, freeze-dried products have a longer shelf life and can be stored at room temperature without the need for refrigeration or special storage conditions.
