VISION
To be a leading Centre of excellence in activities related to environmental sustainability and water security in Asian region.

MISSION
- To stimulate, encourage and enhance research programs in areas related to environmental sustainability and water security. To establish collaboration among academics in various disciplines related to environmental sustainability and water security towards enhancing research programs.
- To establish and enhance collaboration between UTM and various universities and agencies (local and international) in related activities.
- To provide advisory and consultancy services to public and private agencies on environmental sustainability and water security issues.
- To provide facilities for strengthening postgraduate program in environmental and water related studies.
- To enhance environmental awareness among the society by organizing awareness programs at various levels of society.
- To provide services on environmental quality testing and modelling.
