Prof. Tahir was one of the keynote speakers at International Conference on Soft Computing in Data Science 2015 (SCDS 2015) and International Conference on Statistics in Science, Business and Engineering (ICSSBE 2015). One of his papers co-authored with his students with the title, “Identification of the Uncertain Model Parameter of a Steam Turbine System” was awarded best paper in the ICSSBE 2015. The two conferences were held from 2 – 3rd. Sep. 2015 and officiated by the new Minister of Higher Education Malaysia, his Honorable Dato’ Seri Haji Idris bin Jusoh.
