The construction of Marine Technology Center was completed in December 1996. Situated in the main campus of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in Johor Bahru. The Center capability is tailored to become the premier Marine Technology teaching research and consultancy institution in the region. Being as one of the Center of Excellence to the university, Marine Technology Center has significant contribution to the growth of the maritime industry in Malaysia.
To conduct research and development project in various field of marine technology, the Center is equipped with international standard facility of model making and model testing.
