With previous editions held in Hawaii, Korea and Malaysia, this year’s edition of the annual International Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) Symposium was held in The Netherlands. The Netherlands, widely recognized as a global hub for of maritime and water management related technologies and industries, provided a perfect gathering place.
The International OTEC Symposium serves as the largest annual gathering of people working on Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion. The symposium gathers OTEC industry experts, NGO’s and governments from all over the world to discuss the state of the industry. Two days of unique and interactive sessions and a wide variety of international speakers, from key players in the OTEC industry to energy markets and finance experts, and from NGO’s to government representatives from all over the world.
Attend by UTM OTEC members including Prof Dato’ Ir Dr. A.Bakar Jaafar, Dr Akbariah Mahdzir, Madam Adibah and Mr Mizuan. UTM OTEC has been presented two presentation on offset program and legal and policy framework of OTEC.
