On 14 August 2019, UTM OTEC received visitation from Black Pearl Energy Sdn. Bhd represented by Prof. Adj. Zulkifli Abd. Rani, Mr. Rashid Maidin and Mr. Luqman Rashid.
- A meeting was conducted between the guest and Director of UTM OTEC, Prof. Dato’ Ir. Dr. A Bakar Jaafar accompanied by Dr. Mohd Khairi Abu Husain.
- A live demonstration on Mini OTEC simulation plant was shown to the guest conducted by Prof. Dato’ A Bakar with assistance from Mr. Azrin Ariffin, UTM OTEC Research Officer.
- The session ended with group photo in front of UTM OTEC Main Door Entrance.
