3 November 2021 – UTM-OTEC represented by Prof. Dato’ Ir. Dr. A Bakar Jaafar welcomed Dato’ Dualim Mohd Yusop, Mr. Ramlan Hamzah, Dato’ Ir. Mohd Ghazali Kamaruzaman (Prisma Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion Technology Sdn. Bhd.) and Mr. Mejon Majambar (AMG Asset Management) to our office in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Campus for a meeting.
This kickoff meeting was held to discuss the potential of setting up a collaboration for future investment on OTEC commercial plant off Sabah. These kind of initiatives and research agenda by UTM OTEC is in a timely manner to tackle Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Net-Zero Carbon by 2050 or 2060 for mankind.
