The Energy Efficiency Conservation Act (EECA) compels Malaysian companies to track & report on energy use (electricity & thermal) to boost National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) goals. Companies with energy consumption more than 21,600 GJ/yr required to appoint Registered Energy Manager (REM), implement energy saving measures and are subject to periodic energy audit.
This training is organized to equip the participant with:
- Basic principles of thermal energy.
- Mass and energy balances in processes.
- Enhance the efficiency of energy used
- Heat recovery and process heat integration
- Calculate potential energy savings and emission reduction
- Prepare energy efficiency and conservation report to be submitted to Energy Commission (EC).
Benefits:
- Teaches the key fundamentals and principles of thermal energy.
- Applicable to various disciplines (electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, environmental engineers, managers, etc.)
- Refresher for practising process engineers.
- Process industries case studies: oil and gas processing, petrochemicals, chemical process, and manufacturing.
- Suitable for plant operators, energy managers, energy consultants and many more.
- Preparation for the conversion of REM Type 1 to REM Type 2.
Fees:
Only RM 2,500 per pax
inclusive of course materials, meals, and certificates!
Why Attend?
By the end of this training, you’ll not only grasp the principles of thermal energy but also gain the expertise to advise your company on identifying energy-saving potentials, leading to substantial cost savings.
