Thermal Training Programme
Advance your professional competency in thermal energy management and prepare for compliance under the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act (EECA) 2024.
The Registered Energy Manager (REM) Type 2 training programme is designed for professionals involved in managing high-energy-use facilities with significant thermal systems. Delivered by UTM Process Systems Engineering Centre (PROSPECT), this programme equips participants with the technical, regulatory, and practical knowledge required to support energy performance improvement and regulatory compliance.
Why REM Type 2?
Under EECA 2024, designated energy consumers are required to appoint a Registered Energy Manager (REM) to oversee and enhance energy management practices.
REM Type 2 is intended for facilities consuming 50,000 GJ or more annually, where thermal systems play a major role in energy use. This programme helps participants build competency in thermal systems, energy saving opportunities, and audit practices relevant to industrial operations.
