JOHOR BAHRU, 22 May 2025 – Igniting a wave of interest in fermented foods, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) successfully hosted the IBD Webinar Series 2025/46, focusing on the kombucha craze and its significant role in the wellness industry. The online event, held on 22 May 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, drew participation from university researchers, industry professionals, and the wider community.
The webinar, themed ‘Biotechnology: Science, Business & Society,’ featured Mr. Junhao Tan, CEO of Resonate Food and Beverages, as the keynote speaker. Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Daniel Joe Dailin introduced Mr. Tan, whose speech highlighted kombucha’s journey from a traditional fermented tea to a powerhouse of health and innovation.
