Current CSR Projects

ROBOTICS FOR ALL PROGRAMME

Nexus Care: Robotics For All aims to expand robotics and AI knowledge at the school level, preparing a skilled future workforce for Malaysia. It focuses on sharing expertise with UTM staff’s children, local communities, and students in Johor while developing integrated teaching materials for schools nationwide.

The initiative also seeks to spark student interest in STEM through robotics, provide training for students and teachers, and promote participation in robotics competitions. Collaboration with industries ensures the education aligns with current job market needs, equipping students with essential technological skills for the future.

ROCKET TO FLUENCY

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) attracts local and international students, requiring staff to communicate effectively in Bahasa Melayu and English, especially with international students and faculty. This English program is designed to enhance communication skills for UTM staff and their children, improving workplace proficiency and fostering English language use among primary and secondary students.

The project aims to improve spoken and written English skills for both UTM staff and their children, develop relevant teaching modules over three years, and increase interest in using English more effectively in everyday communication.

KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER PROGRAMME

The UTM Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP) is an initiative led by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) aimed at bridging the gap between academic research and real-world applications. This program facilitates the exchange of expertise, skills, and technology between the university and external stakeholders, including industries, government agencies, and communities. The goal is to enhance innovation, promote economic growth, and solve practical challenges by applying academic insights to real-life situations. Through KTP, UTM provides training, consultancy, and collaborative research projects, encouraging sustainable development and social impact. The program focuses on building mutually beneficial partnerships that empower communities, improve local industries, and enhance Malaysia’s capacity for innovation and global competitiveness.

HEALTHNEST INITIATIVE

The UTM HealthNest Initiative is designed to empower individuals with resilience and perseverance to face life’s obstacles with strength. Through practical activities and interactive discussions, participants build the skills needed to handle challenging situations with confidence. By developing personal strategies and action plans, HealthNest supports growth and mental toughness, enabling individuals to thrive amidst everyday pressures.
