An International Research Visit to Shizuoka University, Japan by UTM Student
UTM Doctorate student from School of Chemical Engineering and Energy Engineering (SCEE) and Institute of Bioproduct Development (IBD), Mr Shanmugaprakasham Selvamani (PKK173018) has visited Research Institute of Green Science and Technology (RIGST) of Shizuoka University, Japan for an international research visit collaboration in Cordycepin production. The research visit was organized from 14th February to 28th February 2020. The program was initiated by Prof. Dr. Hesham Ali El-Enshasy (Director of IBD UTM) and Prof Enoch Y. Park. The program is one of the milestones achieved for the year 2020, under “IBD UTM – RIGST Shizuoka University Joint Laboratory” activity, which had been launched on 26th September 2019. As synergistic partnership of a global ranked research where the fundamental research works from RIGST, Shizuoka University will be upscaled in IBD UTM’s Bioprocessing platform. With valuable knowledge gained, the student thanked RIGST Shizuoka University and IBD UTM Bioprocessing platform for the opportunity given.
