The Institute of Bioproduct Development (IBD) recently participated in the FKT-LINKED 2024 program, organized by the Faculty of Chemical & Energy Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). Held at Dewan Sultan Iskandar (DSI) UTM, this event marked a significant effort to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry.
FKT-LINKED 2024 provided a platform to showcase cutting-edge research and innovative products through an exhibition, plenary sessions, lab tours with industry representatives, and the Energy Innovation Competition (Ener-Comp’24), among other activities. These events offered valuable opportunities for students and professionals to engage with industry leaders and explore potential research collaborations.
During the lab tour session (2-5 pm), IBD was one of the selected facilities visited by the industry representatives. The tour highlighted key areas, including the Herbal Extraction Centre (HEC) and the Microbial Bioprocessing Lab, offering insight into IBD’s advanced capabilities.
IBD’s participation underscores our dedication to bridging the gap between industry and academia, fostering partnerships that drive sustainable development and mutual growth.
