Two SITC’s research fellows, Dr. Hadafi Fitri Mohd Latip and Dr. Mohd Najeb Jamaludin were short listed as protegees of KPT CEO @ Faculty at Kem Tentera Kongkoi, Universiti Pertahanan.

The CEO @ Faculty Program brings together the top local and international CEOs, and industrial players into Malaysia’s universities to share their knowledge and experiences with students and university’s community. The CEOs, appointed as ‘Adjunct Professors’, have committed up to 30 hours a year, to provide mentorship to university’s students and lecturers, and even guide universities on several matters such as curriculum development to ensure industrial relevance.

By bridging the private – public gap and strengthening the industry – academia link, the Ministry hopes to enhance university offerings and knowledge transfer initiatives with industries. There were 24 CEOs in 2015 and 60 CEOs in 2016, joined the program, including senior officials from the Malaysian civil service. The CEO @ Faculty Program is an initiative under Shift 2 MEB (HE) “Talent Excellence”.
