On October 13, 2020, SITC paid a courtesy visit to Johor Tourism, Youth, and Sports Committee office at Dato’ Jaafar Muhammad Building, Nusajaya, Johor. The delegates were welcomed by none other than Chairman YB Dato’ Onn Hafiz Ghazi himself. Representing SITC were Prof. Dr. Mohd Shahrizal Sunar, Dr. Hadafi Fitri Mohd Latip, Dr. Mohd Najeb Jamaluddin, and Shaleena Melisa Syed Noor.
The objectives of the visit are to introduce SITC and iHumEn experts that might be beneficial for the state and discuss some potential partnerships in developing the state’s sports technology and athletes’ performance.
Among the collaborations that can be done between UTM and Johor State Sports Council (MSNJ) is the Southern Youth Hub. It is one of the initiatives under Iskandar Malaysia’s youth development strategy that empowers the youth’s lifestyle through entrepreneurship and volunteerism. The development of every state starts with the empowerment of its youth. We must provide the tools and environment for people to prosper.
