The Malaysian Research Assessment Instrument (MyRA) is a comprehensive instrument developed to assess the research capacity and performance of all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Malaysia. On April 18, 2021, the MyRA Glossary Briefing was successfully conducted virtually and hosted by the Institute of Human Centered Engineering (iHumEn).
The program begins with the welcoming address, and it was officiated by Prof. Dr. Mohd Shahrizal Sunar, Director of iHumEn Institute. The MyRA briefing session was delivered by the invited speaker, Mrs. Zuridah Saadan, Research Officer of the Research Management Centre (RMC), UTM.
The program has successfully gathered almost 40 participants, and mainly the participation is from the iHumEn members, including academic, management, and support staff. Graduate students and postgraduate students of iHumEn also did not miss the opportunity to attend this briefing session
The MyRA Glossary Briefing was conducted for two hours to provide insightful knowledge and necessary information on “Do’s and Dont’s” in MyRA to all attended participants. During the program, the participants were given various inputs, comprehensive training, and thorough guidance in preparing reporting documents and data collection to improve the MyRA scores and achievement.
The high focus throughout the session has given participants new valuable and essential knowledge that can be applied in their respective academic fields and research expertise. It is hoped that the participants will motivate and enhance their effectiveness and excellence in research and innovation to achieve world-class achievements. MyRA’s status is highly significant to all iHumEn members and UTM, to continue to succeed and fly high in elevating iHumEn Insitute and UTM to the eyes of the world.
