Institute of Human Centered Engineering (iHumEn) successfully conducted an outdoor high-Âperformance delivery workshop for the iHumEn members exclusively with ATV riding at Endurance Park, Seelong, Johor Bahru.
This half-day event was successfully carried out on 24th August 2022 with great participation from iHumEn members. The event begins with the opening speech, which was officiated by Prof. Dr. Mohd Shahrizal Sunar, Director of iHumEn, followed by the ATV ride briefing led by the ATV guide, ATV riding session, reflection session, and dismissal after lunch.
Having fun with off-office activities like ATV rides is relevant, exciting, and a great alternative to traditional outdoor recreation. ATV ride is motorized vehicles that are meant to be used offÂ-road or on dirt roads, not on paved roads or highways. It is a form of exercise that can strengthen the heart and reduce the risk of heart disease, and also can contribute to muscular and skeletal fitness.
This impactful high-performance delivery workshop is significant in motivating researchers who are responsible for forming effective social relationships with the surroundings while emphasizing the intellectual aspect of the community. Secondly, it enables researchers to build good professional relationships, work effectively and maximize the effectiveness of each team member to achieve the same objective.
In addition, it is also potential to build an effective leadership practice and foster creative problem-solving and effective decision-making that focuses on team goals, and finally to develop values related to morals, ethics, and a positive attitude in regards to having a sense of responsibility towards society.
This program symbolizes great team working, as well as enhancing the bond between iHumEn and its members. This could be one of the valuable practices in empowering iHumEn members and researchers to equip themselves with excellent physical fitness through outdoor activity resulting in high-performance delivery at the workplace.
