The Institute of Human Centered Engineering (iHumEn) participated as an exhibitor in the UTM Nexus Expo @ NEXPO 2023, an event successfully organized by the Department of Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). The Expo was held at the Banquet Hall, Residensi UTM Kuala Lumpur, and was officiated by Dato’ Mohammad Yusof Apdal, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Malaysia. Prof. Datuk Ir. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Fauzi Ismail, Vice Chancellor of UTM, also graced the event and welcomed guests and visitors.The IJN-UTM CEC, SITC, and MaGICX showcased their commitment to innovation and excellence at the UTM Nexus Expo 2023, held at UTM KL Residency. The centres actively participated by opening a booth and presenting their outstanding Rehab Track, Fitness Test, VR Cycling, and Drone innovation. They demonstrated their dedication to paving the way for collaborative efforts that transcend boundaries and contribute significantly to research, innovation, and societal development advancements.
The IJN-UTM CEC received support from the National Heart Institute, IJN Kuala Lumpur. They secured a generous sponsorship of RM44,200 through a Health Screening Program. The program was designed to provide comprehensive screenings for up to 250 individuals each day. The contribution from IJN Kuala Lumpur showcases their commitment to community health.Dr. Syafiqah Saidin, the Director of IJN-UTM CEC, and her team earned the Gold Award at the 25th Industrial Art and Technology Exhibition (INATEX 2023). Their outstanding innovation and invention, the “Factor VII Biodegradable Cardiac Patch,” was recognized for its excellence.Participating in the prestigious NEXPO 2023 platform is a privilege for iHumEn and researchers.
