MaGICX introduced AR and VR to SPM graduates at Jom Masuk U
As a distinguished research centre, the Media and Game Innovation Centre of Excellence (MaGICX) had an exhilarating experience at the grand university carnival at the prestigious Arena Larkin in Johor. The organiser graciously offered MaGICX the opportunity, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), to serve as an exhibitor while showcasing and promoting its cutting-edge innovations to the enthusiastic public, especially to the SPM graduates.
With a fantastic opportunity to explore the diverse fields available in Universities throughout Malaysia. This exciting event promoted various academic disciplines and ignited a passion for knowledge and innovation among SPM graduates. Engaging activities were organised throughout the carnival to introduce the students to the vast range of university fields.
Students are privileged to attend education fairs with representatives from prestigious institutions who share insights on courses, admission requirements, and vibrant campus life. The SPM graduates were intrigued by the fascinating world of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) available at the MaGICX. The carnival offered an exclusive chance to experience the power of AR and VR products. The students could immerse themselves in virtual worlds, simulate real-life scenarios, and unleash their creativity with 3D design tools. These revolutionary technologies captured the imagination and prepared the candidates for future-ready careers.
As part of our commitment to promoting technical and vocational education, the carnival featured a unique showcase of TVET-related products available on MaGICX. Students could explore the cutting-edge tools and simulations that bridged the gap between theory and practical skills. These products inspired them to pursue hands-on learning and excel in diverse career paths. Through this initiative, UTM, in collaboration with MaGICX, was a trailblazer in technology-driven education, providing a dynamic learning environment and exceptional faculty while encouraging students to consider UTM as their gateway to success.
