The collaboration between Medical Device and Technology Center (MEDiTEC) and Medical Device Authority (MDA) was created in conjunction to MEDiTEC initiative to help and penetrate medical device industry in Malaysia.
The first initiative, is a joint application between MEDiTEC and MDA, to apply for the APEC Centre of Regulatory Excellence (CoRE) CoE. Another initiative, is the Professional Masters program to be offered to medical device regulators, engineers, personnel and industrial players in Malaysia and Asia Pacific. These initiatives are mainly to harmonize the medical device regulatory across Asia Pacific. The MEDiTEC is also offered a seat in the steering committee of MDA, to help steer all medical device industries in Malaysia.
